minimap Terms of Use
These are the terms for using minimap, made by 1984 LLC. By using minimap you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy, and you confirm you're old enough to agree to a contract where you live (18 in most places). In these terms, "minimap" (also "we" or "us") means the minimap app, 1984 LLC its owner, and everything provided through the app.
What minimap is – and isn't
minimap is a tool for seeing your own space. It is not a monitored alarm and not an emergency service – no one is monitoring your cameras for you, and it won't call anyone. Don't rely on it to prevent or respond to any emergency. Phones, Wi-Fi, networks, batteries, and notifications all fail sometimes, and minimap makes no promise that it will show, record, or alert you to anything. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services.
Using minimap
Use minimap legally and with respect for other people's privacy. Depending on where you are, recording people can require their consent or notice, so follow the rules that apply to you, and don't set up a camera where people reasonably expect privacy.
Your stuff and ours
Your maps and the figures minimap shows you are yours – we never touch them. minimap's software and technology are ours; you may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer them. If you send us something directly, or post or publish content about minimap publicly – a video, a review, a write-up – you're letting us use and share it, including in our marketing and on our site. That never applies to anything that stays private on your devices.
Subscriptions & payments
minimap's paid tiers are auto-renewing subscriptions, and you'll see the price before you pay. Apple handles all billing, payments, and refunds – minimap never sees your card. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings. Canceling stops future charges, and features tied to a tier stop working if you downgrade.
No warranties
minimap is provided "as is." We don't promise it will always work, be accurate, or be available.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, 1984 LLC's total liability for any and all claims is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the prior 12 months or $100.
Legal claims
If someone brings a legal claim against us over your use of minimap or content you shared, that claim is your responsibility, not ours.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
Changes & access
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue minimap, or update these terms, at any time. The current terms are always posted here with a date, and continued use means you accept them, so check back now and then. We may suspend or end access for misuse.
Apple
You get minimap through Apple's App Store, so Apple's standard Licensed Application EULA also applies. This agreement is between you and 1984 LLC, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for minimap. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
The fine print
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still stands. We're not responsible for failures or delays beyond our reasonable control. You can't transfer these terms; we can (for example, if minimap is sold). These terms give rights to no one else, except Apple as noted above.
